Peg stamps organized

I have been organizing my supplies and excited about having things easier to use as I do crafting in different parts of my house.  I have multiple places in our house where I do different projects.  I am also going through craft supplies and making decisions about those supplies that I will not be using anymore.  This has been an ongoing project over the past several years.   There are some things I have kept saving and saving....Now I just want to do the crafting that I REALLY like and not the ones that I might get to sometime!!

The first photo has many different stories going on....

I put all of my peg stamps together in one box.  I had each group separate in their original box and I didn't get them out and use them very much.  Now I have written on each stamp the group where they belong.  The tag in the photo is one I found in the box already stamped around the edge and I added color to the center and put a flower sticker on it and a ribbon tie.  Another tag for my journals!

The little plastic piece in the upper right is a piece I use to make random marks on some paper tags and journal pages with distress oxide ink.  The little wood slice is one I made when we lived in Julian.  I engraved and painted and sold a variety of these little wood slices in shops in Julian.  I have various sizes that Dave cut when we lived in the mountains.  I have a bunch left over from then....so I might glue some of my stamps to some of them.

The next photo shows a little box where I store some basic supplies that I can move easily and have available wherever I am doing projects in the house.  Blending brushes, different glues, scissors and rotary cutters I use for paper.

Next is a photo of some of the paper crafts I have been doing.

I stamped and drew on some book pages and painted the images and cut them out to add to journals or tags.  I used liquid pearl dots on some of the tags and some of the projects in the photo are not complete yet.

I will be linking to To-Do Tuesday at         Chris Knits

and this will be week #65 of posting a to do list

My goals for the week are more organizing of craft supplies and clear a space on my sewing table so I can put the binding on the log cabin runner.  I will be working on paper crafting and maybe another quilt project.

Tuesday To Do #64

This is week #64 of posting a to do list and I will be linking to

Chris Knits

My goals from this last week did not happen!  So I will repeat the same goals this next week. AND here they are:

Tuesday To Do July 13 through July 19:
  1. FMQ practice
  2. Put binding on the log cabin runner and start hand stitching it to the back
  3. Journal cards and tags
  4. Painting project
I haven't posted a photo of my log cabin runner for awhile.  Here it is as of now a partial photo of it....I have the quilting done and need to trim the threads from the quilting, trim the edges and put on the binding.

I worked on paper crafts and here are a few photos.  The first two show the nonpareils (sprinkles) I used on some coffee dye paper.  The first one is wet and I let it dry all night and the second one shows the dried sprinkles that I need to scrape off.

The next one is showing the papers I used to make stickers with my sticker maker....and the places I put the stickers on my projects.

3 little round circles together on top of a journal card from a paper with acrylic paint.  AND the butterfly was a punch on a photo of fabric from a magazine.

The next photo is some little notebooks... heart booklets and double pocket booklet.

These projects are in progress and I need to add more to these little booklets.  These are fun...fun....fun!!!

Mini Ephemera Holder and Tuesday To Do #63

This is a day late and it is week #63 of posting a to do list and I will be linking to

Chris Knits

My progress from the goals from last week:

Tuesday To Do June 29 through July 5:

  1. Practice FMQ
  2. Start quilting Hope quilt
  3. Finish quilting log cabin runner
  4. Make journal cards from index cards
  5. Make a min ephemera holder from paper scraps

I got most of my goals for the week done.  I still need to do quilting practice on my sewing machine before I tackle quilting a quilt.

Photos of what I worked on with paper crafting.  The mini ephemera holder is made with junk mail and collage over it and add papers and pockets...very easy and very fun.  The outside at the fold is a moda strip that is wrapped around fabric when you purchase precuts.  I need to find some little ephemera to add to this holder.

And here are  some index cards I am making.  Not finished yet.  The two on the right are the back with the lines.  I cut 4x6 index cards in half for these.  I used distress ink and collage and stamps.  Some are coffee dyed and color dyed.

The next photos show my process in paper dyeing.

Very simple....put some coffee with some water into a spray bottle and lay the paper on parchment paper and spray both sides of the paper.  The color is few drops of color mixed with water and use a brush to spread it on the papers.  I cut the index cards smaller after coffee dye and ink dye.  TIP:  Laying the cards on the very used parchment paper and spreading color on them causes some of the coffee dye from the parchment paper to get on the cards and I like that look.

Here is a photo from earlier in the week when I started on these projects.  I first did an index card covered in brown coffee dye paper and put gelato crayons and discovered I needed to use a pen first if I wanted to do a whimsical flower.
The bottom part shows the separate pieces of the mini ephemera holder as I started working on it.

Just ask if you have any questions about any of this.  I get my ideas from watching You-Tube videos.

Tuesday To Do July 6 through July 12:
  1. FMQ practice
  2. Put binding on the log cabin runner and start hand stitching it to the back
  3. Journal cards and tags
  4. Painting project
I am still working on quilting projects along with paper crafting.  AND I will be posting photos of my quilting and projects.

Be sure to check out what everyone else is working
