Tuesday To Do #57

This is Tiuesday To Do #57 I will be linking with Chris Knits

Here is my progress from last week:

Tuesday To Do week of April 13 through April 19:
  1. FMQ three days and include Angela's new challenge designs   ✅
  2. Get back to hand stitching the kawandi runner at least 5 days  ✅
  3. work on a sewing project  ✅
I enjoyed practicing FMQ on paper and practice pieces...no photos.  I need to keep practicing because that is how I will get at least back to what I used to be able to do.  Angela is doing a great job with this challenge and it is so interesting....free online.

The photo is my kawandi runner and I placed some pieces of fabric in the foreground to fill in the empty spot and see how they look.

I am still watching lots of online videos and classes....such fun!!  Last week I listed some new channels I had discovered.  The one I have watched a lot this week is

I decided to join her FB group last week.  She has a weekly prompt and last week was using paper punches on leaves to use in a journal.  I just have tiny punches and that is what I used....here is a photo of what I did

My Arizone rose bush is so beautiful this year.  It is really old and is the best rose bush.

Tuesday To Do week of April  20 through April 25:

  1. kawandi runner....get all the pieces decided and pinned in place and keep hand stitching
  2. Do paper and fabric small projects with glue and paint and sewing
  3. Use some supply or tool that I haven't used in awhile

Go check out the link at Chris Knits above for the projects for this week and see what everyone is doing!!

Tuesday To Do #56

This is Tiuesday To Do #56 I will be linking with Chris Knits

Herer is my progress from last week:

To-Do Tuesday week of April 6 through April 12:

  1. Finish the quilting on my log cabin runner X
  2. Work on at least one sewing/quilting project every day ✅
  3. Watercolor painting on papers and/or fabric every day
I didn't finish quilting the log cabin runner...but almost done.  Last month I added a section in the middle of the runner with a ruler quilting and I need to practice on something else before I attempt to finish that area!!

I took a photo with several of the projects I have done this week.  On the left are some watercolor papers for Joanne Sharpe online class.  The right has some strips of crumb sewing after watching Craftsy Christina Cameli.  AND the center top is my creative journal open to the page I am working on.

The watercolor papers are done using different techniques and Daniel Smith paints.  The journal has distress oxide to the background.  I put a triple pocket for journal cards and the top pocket has a fabric tag.  I was inspired to do these after watching You-Tube videos.

Almost every single day I watch videos about lots of creative crafting..sewing...fun!!  I discovered two more very interesting ones this past week and subscribed!!  I am going to list some channels.  I think there must be millions and millions of very interesting people that just want to show us how to do things!  It is awesome AND
the reason I think I am rather obsessed with watching and learning new things is this:
WHEN I first started watching craft programs on TV back in the 70s....THERE WAS ONLY ONE SHOW on TV that I watched and it was on ONCE A WEEK!!!

YOU-TUBE channels I have discovered:
stitchesbyjulia (11/21/20)
The Paper Outpost  (4/9/21)
Suzy - Shabby Soul (4/11/21)
my sewing room (12/23/20)

There are a lot of other You-Tube channels that I also follow and subscribe...those on the list are my newest ones.

Tuesday To Do week of April 13 through April 19:
  1. FMQ three days and include Angela's new challenge designs
  2. Get back to hand stitching the kawandi runner at least 5 days
  3. work on a sewing project

To-Do Tuesday #55

March Madness is over and I will get back to a goal list to publish!!

This is To-Do Tuesday #55 I will be linking with Chris Knits

Here is a page from one of my little books I made from a class by Joanne Sharpe from the Art Sparks I class on ruzuku

I haven't been doing very much creative over the past few weeks and I felt this is a great quote to share!

The next photo is a wood shelf that was my dad's and was one of those "some day" projects.  After 30 years it is time to hang it!  It had a mirror and instead I covered a cardboard with fabric.  (I drew a flower on paper and then copied on printer fabric....but I didn't like it.)  I will tape/pin notes and photos in this area.  And keep really light things in the pocket.  The bottom dowel will be for little mini quilts I make and change out with my whims!  Right now I looped some fabric and pinned a mug rug I made several years ago.

Here is the side view hanging on the wall

To-Do Tuesday week of April 6 through April 12:

  1. Finish the quilting on my log cabin runner
  2. Work on at least one sewing/quilting project every day
  3. Watercolor painting on papers and/or fabric every day

FYI.............I have had email notifications when I comment on blogs:
Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

I have changed some things.  I had changed my default browser to Microsoft Edge and I had other issues and I thought that might be the problem...........so I changed back to Google Chrome.  It is still happening but not with everyone!!
I was also hacked on FB Messenger and Instagram.  Crazy world!!  I was glad I had people notify me so I could report it.

Go check out the link above for the projects for this week and see what everyone is doing!!
