Here is what I have so far with my log cabin blocks. I am making 4½" size blocks using 1½" strips...
And the larger blocks have 2½" strips and are 8½" blocks. I did one with the outer strips of the larger block being wood grain like logs.................it was a test to see if I like it or not! What do you think?
Linking with JulieKQuilts for this full moon log cabin lunacy fun!!

I love your color choices! And the juxtapositioning of large and small..nice project hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteSo far I am keeping the larger strips in Pat Sloan fabric lines and for the smaller strips I am mixing them with other scrappy strips.
DeleteFun, FUN colors and like Julierose, I like the mix of large and small blocks.
ReplyDeleteI am really liking the two different sizes....if I did all small strips it would take forever to make the quilt!
DeleteI like the variety of the outside in the woodgrain fabric against the smaller blocks of mixed fabrics. Lookin' good!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear...I wasn't sure how it would work out...
DeleteThose are fun and happy blocks!
ReplyDeletethey are sure fun to make...
DeleteI think they look great. love the variety and the large gray one contrasts nicely with the smaller ones.

ReplyDeleteYou've definitely jumped into the log cabin block with small ones and the larger size. It's going to make a great quilt especially with the bright fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI didn't want to make all small ones even though they are a lot of fun! Looking forward to the next full moon!
