The turquoise is Ricky Tims dyed fabric I bought over 5 years ago...
I bought fabrics with the jewel colors when I attended one of his seminars in early 2007...
So I will be using some of them in this quilt.
I am glad Bonnie said to test a block first.....the first one was not correct....
It is a tricky little block that is for sure.....
glad I didn't chain all that I have cut and have it be way off!!
I am wondering if I pressed correctly....I pressed toward the white with black
and maybe I should have pressed toward the purple square?

You are making progress - it's looking good. The colors are so pretty. I am way behind already. I almost have my Christmas sewing done, then I'll get going!

ReplyDeleteYours look good. I always tell my students to make one block to check that it comes out right before jumping in. (I kinda forget that advice myself most of the time). Never hurts.
Glad you did it before chaining all the blocks.
I did the same thing Caryl, except I went ahead and stitched 3 blocks before stopping to check them. Sure glad I stopped there! I managed to fix those 3 and get the rest done without a problem.
