more blocks zebra and pink

I wanted some variety in the blocks for the baby quilt....

I also changed the size of the blocks... I cut them down smaller.... and added some different pinks....

I finished the blocks today and sewed all the blocks together tonight.... I still need to add borders... will probably have a narrow zebra print first... then pink outer border in one of the pink fabrics... this is soooo much fun.... Smiles and hugs....Caryl

Some of the blocks look like this..... will have more photos later today.... yesterday I looked for pink dots or similar... couldn't find all the fabric I wanted... the striped fabric in the previous post just doesn't look good with the zebra stripes!! so leaving it out for now... maybe use it for the binding??.... Yesterday I bought some zebra fabric in two different sizes... some pink stripes... also a zebra print for the back....

today I went through my stash and found some black with frosted dots... some pinks.....one is too light and the other is too dark... a small piece of white with pink dots.... I still would like to find a different pink... the quilt will be a simple design....either all squares... or rectangles with strips around... I would also like to find a different back in flannel... maybe in pink or pink with dots... I have been getting lots of help from my friends in the quilting world in places to look for fabrics... this is so much fun!!! Smiles and hugs....Caryl

possibility for my swap blocks

I got the idea to try a panel with my swap blocks from Pat on her blog... these blocks are from Pat Sloan's Mashup group swap.... I have had this panel for several years.... my design wall is a sheet on my patio with my blocks on top :)... I have other projects to do....so will give this more thought!! Smiles and hugs....Caryl

Today I received my blocks.....yipppeee... we had a swap on Pat Sloan's forum..... see all those signatures!!!...love it!!... let's talk about recipes...

Pinterest has a lot of yummy looking recipes.... the latest one I tried was crock pot chicken parmesan...

very simple...breaded chicken on the bottom...

add the cheese....

mix the mushrooms with the mushrooms with the spaghetti sauce...
