Tuesday To Do #60

Here is my Tuesday to Do #60  and I will link up with

Chris Knits    I didn't write a blog post last week but I did all that was on the list last week.

Tuesday To Do week of May 11 through May 17:
  1. Paper crafting things to add in my creative journal ✅
  2. clear off my cutting table so I can work on a sewing project
  3. kawandi runner...do hand stitching every day.

I have been spending time documenting my supplies and where they are located.  Plus my projects in progress and where they are located.  Such a task and now when I move something I have to change my list......hopefully this is not more trouble than it is worth!!!

I haven't turned on my sewing machine for a week now....where do the days go???  Here is a photo of what is sitting there waiting for me to finish.  It is a potholder with lots of scrappy pieces added together.  I made the log cabin block and wanted to make it longer and wider so I added some improv blocks I had left from another project and a strip of fabrics for yet another project.  It is about 8 x 12 and will be able to be used on our counter instead of putting two smaller potholders together to hold hot pans.

AND here is a photo on our patio

and I am looking forward to having family and friends to come and visit again.  This has been a long year and we still haven't gotten together with our family.....but it will be real soon.

The book I am reading now is Little Heathens by Mildred Armstrong Kalish about life in Iowa during the Depression years.....very very good.

Tuesday To Do for this week is to finish the potholder/mat and keep stitching every day on my kawandi runner.  I also want to pick a project I have started and make some progress.

Mini quilt finish and Tuesday To Do #59

I finished a little mini quilt to hang.....and this is also

Tuesday to do #59  to link up with  Chris Knits

Here is my progress from last week:

Tuesday To Do week of May 4 through May 10:

  1. finish a mini quilt I started this week ✅
  2. sewing with paper crafting
  3. kawandi runner

Here is a photo of the mini quilt I finished.  It has some bits of fabric from other people and I used the pieces I had and made it wonky..  I sewed on a foundation fabric.

AND here is a photo of it hanging on the wall....on that vintage wall shelf/former mirror I have shown before.  There is a window to the side that is casting a shadow.

Here is a photo of my kawandi runner with all pieces pinned in place.

I have been enjoying paper crafting and watching Pam at The Paper Outpost and getting lots of ideas from her.

Here is a photo of some of it I have done......

I used strips of junk mail cardstock thickness and wrapped with old music pages and glued and cut into tiny tags.  I use the fuscia metal ruler for tearing the paper.  On the right are some little books with stitching down the middle to hold it together.  I am using tea dyed papers in some of them.  Some of the tags are punched with the tag punch and it has a place to add the hole at the top and also an eyelet setter.  One of the tags I covered with floral fabric.  In the top right is a little book I made several weeks ago with an old manila folder that I embossed with stars and swirls and then added a piece of fabric with stars and swirls and glued it over the edge.  All of this is so easy and so fun!

Tuesday To Do week of May 11 through May 17:
  1. Paper crafting things to add in my creative journal
  2. clear off my cutting table so I can work on a sewing project
  3. kawandi runner...do hand stitching every day.

Paper Crafting and Tuesday to do #58

So I missed last Tuesday.....I did some of the goals from the previous list..

I  have been paper crafting...here is a photo of stackable pockets

This idea is from a video by Pam at The Paper Outpost.
I used old book pages.....some cutting, gluing, stamping.  The heart is a fabric heart I had cut from Accuquilt and put distress oxide ink around the edge.

Here is a photo of 2 pages from my creative journal.  I had shown the start of it in a previous post.

I have been organizing my fabrics and craftiing supplies and moving things and clearing off surfaces!  I have so many projects out and it gets distracting and also is  a mess!  I am keeping a computer list of projects I pack away and where they are because I know I will never find them if I don't write it down.  (I kept telling myself the reason I have so many projects all over is so I won't forget them...ha ha...it was not a good plan!)

Tuesday To Do week of May 4 through May 10::

  1. finish a mini quilt I started this week
  2. sewing with paper crafting
  3. kawandi runner
I am linking to Chris Knits

check for the projects for this week and see what everyone is doing!!
