Full moon and time to post about log cabin blocks. Some of us are linking together on full moon day each month to show log cabin blocks and quilts.
I have been working on more of the blocks I started for this Log Cabin Lunacy but no pics of those today.
Yesterday I did do a blog post showing quilting of what I call a picnic quilt...
There is a link on yesterday's blog post to last year June 24, 2015 blog post with photos of how I made the blocks...like log cabin blocks.
I am sharing a photo of a log cabin quilt I made last year. It is called string bean log cabin and it is a free pattern on Craftsy by Pat Sloan. I used some of her jelly roll fabrics plus others for this quilt. It was a very fun quilt to make.

String bean log cabin quilt finished
I started this quilt in March when Pat Sloan offered a free pattern and a challenge.
You can find the pattern on Craftsy.
I used bobbins and bits fabrics plus others. I used my walking foot for straight and wavy lines. On my Bernina it is #4stitch and 2 width and 2 length.
I hand quilted the centers of each block using Aurifil #12 matching thread and fabric with finishing set tart and macaroon from Fat Quarter Shop online.

Farm Girl Vintage chicken foot block + other quilt projects
I finished another FGV block to hang on the clothesline in my sewing room.....
I have a lot of quilts in progress and here are photos of SOME of them....
I am hand quilting the center rectangles of my string bean log cabin quilt........
I hope to have this done this week............
Gudrun of GE Designs has a facebook group and this is the start of the quilt Another Part of Me. I am using the stripology ruler on this project.
I made some tubes of my Bobbins and Bits fabric strips and used my strip tube ruler and cut some blocks. This was started on a day when I just wanted to sew strips and keep the petal down!
I bought Leanne's House BOM I think in 2007 and I have finally started on it.
Lots of projects......lots of fun!!
I will link with Connie at Freemotion by the River for Linky Tuesday............

String Bean Challenge quilt
Pat Sloan gave us a challenge on her blog and a free pattern.
I have posted it on instagram, her facebook group and flickr.....
I used mostly Pat's bobbins and bits fabric but added some other fabrics too.
I haven't decided how to quilt it yet??? Any ideas? Wondering how others are quilting theirs?
